Agartala, March 2 -- The Tripura police launched an investigation following a complaint lodged by the family of a newlywed couple, who were shocked to discover that the bride was biologically male. Surprisingly, the couple was in a committed relationship for six years before eloping.
The incident was reported in Garji of Udaipur under Gomati district on Sunday. Police said that the incident caused disbelief and led to public attention, with a crowd gathering at the couple's residence on Sunday and attempting to assault the 'bride'.
