Agartala, July 4 -- Police in Tripura have registered a case against a senior IAS officer and three others over allegations of cheating, forgery, impersonation, criminal conspiracy and financial fraud involving more than Rs14.55 crore linked to fake government tender schemes, officials said on Saturday.
The New Capital Complex (NCC) Police Station in Agartala registered the criminal case following a complaint by Nagpur-based businessman Manish Malani, who alleged that he was defrauded by Abhishek Chandra, a senior IAS officer of the Tripura cadre, along with Utpal Kumar Choudhury, Krishna Chakraborty and Sudip Paul.
