Agartala, Sept. 17 -- Tripura CPI-M State Secretary and Leader of the Opposition Jitendra Choudhury has expressed doubts about the state government's decision to organize month-long Seva Sankalp programs around Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday.

Choudhury is seeking clarity on the funding source for the initiative and has questioned the government's spending and decision to organize and fund official programs on this occasion, as Tripura government has announced the month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan from today to October 17, aiming to combine public service, welfare outreach, and other programs to commemorate Modi's 25 years in public service.
