Agartala, May 28 -- In a move to boost the rural economy, Tripura has introduced a three-year program called Mission Queen Pineapple, Tripura, with a budget of Rs 236 crore from the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER).
Union Minister for DoNER Jyotiraditya Scandia, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, and Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath, in a ceremonial event, launched the mission in Delhi last evening.
