Agartala, July 23 -- In an effort to ensure that all students possess a valid and current Aadhaar record, the School Education Department has initiated special biometric update camps for students in both government and private schools throughout Tripura.

To carry out these camps, the department has assigned nearly 50 teachers and staff who have received specialized training. Students under 18 years of age can receive biometric updates completely free of charge.

Officials have stated that this initiative aims to complete the mandatory Aadhaar biometric update (MBU) for children when they reach 5 and 15 years old, as their facial features, fingerprints, and iris patterns undergo considerable changes during growth.
