Agartala, May 27 -- The High Court of Tripura has set aside the removal of Gautam Sarkar from his position as President of the West District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, citing that the authorities infringed upon natural justice and neglected to adhere to proper legal procedures.

The bench, which included Justice Dr T Amarnath Goud and Justice S Datta Purkayastha, mandated the government to issue a formal show-cause notice to Sarkar and to subsequently issue a lawful order that includes reasoning for removal.
