Agartala, May 8 -- A division bench of High Court of Tripura, headed by Chief Justice M S Ramachandra Rao, has asked for an explanation and accountability from the state government regarding the alleged failure of the police to register an FIR despite serious allegations of physical assault of a citizen by government servants.
In response to a writ petition filed by Ratna Roy, a resident of the Dhaleshwar area of the city, the High Court directed the Chief Judicial Magistrate, West Tripura, to promptly secure and preserve CCTV footage from East Agartala Police Station from April 4 to April 6.
