Agartala, July 18 -- As part of preparations for the Assembly elections slated for early 2028, the Tripura government has appointed Guardian Ministers for all eight districts to oversee and monitor development activities, ensuring better coordination in implementing government programmes.

Announced by the General Administration (Confidential & Cabinet) Department, the decision assigns a Cabinet Minister to each district, who will focus on reviewing the progress of development projects, coordinating with district administrations, monitoring the implementation of flagship schemes, addressing public grievances, and ensuring government initiatives are executed on time.
