Agartala, May 24 -- A leading cinema promoter and leading businessman of Tripura, the elder brother of Tripura Chief Minister Ratan Saha, has been elected as President of Eastern India Motion Pictures Association (EIMPA).
The EIMPA oversees film production and studio management in Tollygunge, Calcutta. The election arose due to the electoral defeat of the former Trinamool minister of West Bengal, Arup Biswas, who had tight control over everything related to Tollygunge amidst allegations of corruption and extortion.
