Agartala, June 23 -- Tripura's Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha directed District Magistrates (DMs) to pay special attention to managing solid waste and the issue of people tossing garbage into public spaces and drains.
While speaking at a workshop attended by senior government officials, public representatives, community leaders, and civil society members, Dr Saha pointed out that the long-standing practice of discarding waste in open areas, waterways, and drainage systems persists in Tripura, despite the existence of strict regulations.
