Agartala, Aug. 27 -- The first day of the Monsoon Session of Tripura Legislative Assembly witnessed a sharp political confrontation related to a debate over nationalism, the Cuban flag, and CPI(M) leader Fidel Castro.
The controversy arose during Zero Hour when Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath questioned Leader of the Opposition Jitendra Chaudhury's participation in a CPI (M) event commemorating the birth anniversary of Fidel Castro, and objected to the presence of the Cuban flag alongside the Indian national flag.
