Kolkata, April 22 -- A day after the names cleared by the tribunal, the Election Commission of India released figures on cases disposed of by a judicial tribunal reviewing disputed voter entries on Wednesday evening.

The commission revealed that 139 individuals have been newly included in the electoral roll, while eight names have been deleted.

According to the Commission, the tribunal disposed of a total of 657 cases related to the "consideration list" of voters.

The latest update comes just hours before polling is scheduled to begin on Thursday across 152 Assembly constituencies in the state.
