Bengaluru, March 10 -- Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Tuesday criticised the state government over women's safety, alleging that a Scheduled Tribe woman was stripped in broad daylight in Belagavi just 10 km from Suvarna Soudha while the Assembly session was underway in the city.

Addressing a programme organised by the BJP Bengaluru City Mahila Morcha at Havyaka Bhavan in Malleswaram to mark International Women's Day, Vijayendra said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Home Minister G Parameshwara and several ministers were present in Belagavi during the legislature session when the incident occurred.
