Hyderabad, July 19 -- union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy on Sunday said the development and leadership of tribal communities are essential for achieving the vision of a Viksit Bharat, while lauding the efforts of the Friends of Tribals Society (FTS) in promoting tribal welfare.
Addressing the annual meeting of the FTS at Kanha Shanti Vanam in Ranga Reddy district, Kishan Reddy said tribal communities have preserved India's forests, biodiversity and cultural heritage for centuries, and stressed the need to protect their identity, dignity and constitutional rights.
