Hyderabad, April 13 -- union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy on Monday said the Centre is undertaking major reforms in the mining sector, emphasising transparency, private participation, and efficient utilisation of critical mineral resources essential for the country's growth.
Addressing the media during the launch of the 7th tranche auction of critical mineral blocks and the second tranche of exploration licences at International Convention Centre (HICC) in Hyderabad, the Minister said the government has moved away from the earlier nomination-based allocation system and adopted a transparent auction mechanism.
