Hyderabad, July 20 -- Trainee IPS officer Uday Krishna Reddy was hospitalised on Monday after allegedly attempting suicide by consuming sanitiser at a relative's house in Motinagar, Hyderabad.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Monday morning, following which his relatives rushed him to a private hospital in S R Nagar, where he is undergoing treatment.
The incident comes a day after the Attapur police registered a case against Uday Krishna Reddy under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) based on a complaint filed by a trainee woman IPS officer, who accused him of sexual harassment. The case had sparked widespread attention at the National Police Academy.
