Samastipur, June 30 -- Joint Advisor at the Kolkata Regional Office of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Ashim Dutta on Tuesday said the regulator would soon introduce new rules aimed at strengthening the protection of mobile subscriber's interests.

TRAI organised a Consumer Outreach and Awareness Programme in Samastipur as part of its nationwide consumer awareness campaign.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the event, Dutta said TRAI was conducting consumer outreach programmes across Bihar and other parts of the country to safeguard the interests of telecom subscribers and enhance public awareness.
