Bhubaneswar, July 22 -- In a first-of-its-kind initiative in Odisha, TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) has launched the state's first 'Solar Rath', a mobile awareness campaign aimed at promoting rooftop solar energy and accelerating enrolment under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana during the ongoing Rath Yatra in Puri.
The campaign, jointly undertaken by TPCODL,a joint venture of Tata Power and the Government of Odisha,seeks to leverage the massive congregation of devotees during the annual festival to spread awareness about the benefits of rooftop solar systems and encourage households to adopt clean and affordable energy solutions.
