Hyderabad, May 5 -- Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Mahesh Kumar Goud on Tuesday demanded that the Centre clarify its stand on a CBI inquiry into the Kaleshwaram project before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Hyderabad on May 10.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, he alleged large-scale corruption in the Kaleshwaram project and said the Congress had already written to the CBI seeking an investigation. He questioned why no probe had been initiated despite earlier allegations by BJP leaders.
Targeting union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Goud said he was speaking "as if he has forgotten he is a union Minister" and demanded an explanation on why no action had been taken in the matter.
