Mumbai, July 21 -- A 48-year-old tourist drowned after being swept away by a strong current at Koshimbale Waterfall in Sudhagad tehsil of Maharashtra's Raigad district. His body was recovered after a five-hour search operation, officials said on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Milind Maruti Dighe, who had visited the popular monsoon tourist destination with a group of friends at around 1700 hrs on Monday.
According to disaster management volunteer Amit Nimbalkar, Dighe accidentally entered a deep pool while wading through the waterfall. He lost his footing and was swept away by the strong current.
