New Delhi, Sept. 27 -- The Ministry of Tourism on Sunday organised a cleanliness drive at Safdarjung's Tomb here as part of the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign to mark World Tourism Day.
Tourism Secretary Bhuvnesh Kumar led the drive, which was attended by ministry officials and staff, besides students and faculty members from hospitality and tourism institutes.
Kumar said the initiative, being held as part of the Swachhata Pakhwada from September 16 to 30, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining cleanliness at tourist destinations.
"The objective is not only to carry out cleaning operations but also to raise awareness about the importance of keeping our tourist sites clean and beautiful," Kumar said.
