New Delhi, Sept. 27 -- The Ministry of Tourism on Sunday organised a cleanliness drive at Safdarjung's Tomb in New Delhi, as part of the ongoing "Swachhata Hi Seva 2026" campaign, marking World Tourism Day.
Led by Tourism Secretary Bhuvnesh Kumar, the drive saw participation from ministry officials and staff, as well as students and faculty members from hospitality and tourism institutes.
Kumar said the initiative, being held during Swachhata Pakhwada from September 16 to 30, was aimed at creating greater awareness about maintaining cleanliness at tourist destinations.
"The objective is not only to carry out cleaning operations but also to raise awareness about the importance of keeping our tourist sites clean and beautiful," Kumar said....
