Siliguri, June 15 -- West Bengal Tourism Minister Shankar Ghosh on Monday stressed that the promotion of tea tourism in the state must not adversely affect the tea industry, asserting that the government would carefully examine all related issues before formulating a comprehensive policy.
Speaking to reporters after reviewing the functioning of the Regional Tourism Office in Siliguri and holding discussions with departmental officials, Ghosh said the new government was in the process of understanding the tourism sector in detail and would require some time before implementing major reforms.
