Nahan, Aug. 4 -- Torrential rain late Tuesday morning severely disrupted life in Himachal Pradesh's Sirmaur district. National Highway 907A, from Nahan to Kumharhatti-Shimla, was blocked for more than two hours, and the stretch from ITI to Carmel School, became like a river.
Due to the strong current, scooters and motorcycles were swept away, while water entered several cars.
Local resident, businessman, and social worker Vinod Sharma said that the main reason for the waterlogging on the road is the lack of proper rainwater drainage.
