Bhubaneshwar, April 25 -- A judicial officer of district judge rank in Odisha, who was handed out compulsory retirement, has got the relief from the Supreme Court with the apex court passing order for the reinstatement of the prematurely retired judicial officer with restoration of monetary benefits.
"Once an order of compulsory retirement is set aside, the employer-employee relationship stands restored. Without reinstatement, the officer would stand outside the service, and the Review Committee or the Full Court would be placed in the anomalous position of deliberating upon the continuance or retirement of a person who is not, in law, in service at all", the Supreme Court ruled while passing an order for reinstatement of a district judge....
