Chennai, Aug. 5 -- In an effort to improve Technical textiles contribution to overall Textile production, the Tamil Nadu government would launch Technical Textiles Transformation Scheme (TTTS) for Entrepreneurs and a Textiles Technology Centre (TTC) at the knitwear capital of Tiruppur to provide international exposure to MSMEs and textile manufacturers.
Presenting the TVK government's maiden budget in the State Assembly, Finance Minister N.Marie Wilson said Technical textiles is currently one of the emerging sectors, offering opportunities for innovation, value addition, exports, and high-skilled employment across fields including healthcare, automotive, construction, agriculture and defence.
