Chennai, April 28 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Ms Archana Patnaik on Tuesday said counting of votes polled in the April 23 Assembly elections would be held in 62 counting Centres across the state on May four.
In a release here, she said the counting of votes will begin promptly at 8:00 AM.
The counting of postal ballots will be the first to start at 8:00 AM. After 30 minutes, at 8:30 AM, the counting of votes recorded in the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will begin.
In the rounds of counting EVM votes, the final round will only commence after the counting of all postal ballots has been completed.
