Chennai, March 25 -- A day after after sealing seat sharing deals with all the main allies and releasing the [arty's manifesto that was loaded with freebies, the principal Opposition AIADMK, heading the NDA for the April 23 Tamil Nadu Assembly polls, on Wednesday released the first list of candidates, retaining the core of its senior leaders that included 20 former Ministers.

Most of them were popular faces having served as Ministers during the tenure of late AIADMK leader J Jayalalithaa. They would be contesting from seats, considered their traditional strongholds, having won on multiple occasions.

By fielding the party heavyweights, the AIADMK Edappadi, has sent out a clear message,signalling its intent to mount a strong challenge again...
