Chennai, July 30 -- With the Madras High Court dismissing on Thursday, the anticipatory bail plea of DMK strongman and former Minister V Senthil Balaji, the prime accused in the Rs 1,000 crore Tamil Nadu liquor scam, his arrest appears imminent in the case registered by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC).
Senthilbalaji moved the High Court a day after DVAC carried out state-wide raids in multiple locations and several districts, including in Chennai, and at distilleries including at the one owned by DMK MP T.R.Baalu at Mannargudi in Tiruvarur district, in connection with the multi-crore liquor scam.
