Mangaluru, June 12 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president C Joseph Vijay on Friday visited the Sri Mookambika Temple at Kollur in Karnataka's Udupi district and offered a silver sword to Goddess Mookambika.
Vijay arrived at the temple in the afternoon and was accorded a traditional 'Poorna Kumbha Kalasha' welcome by the temple management committee.
During his visit, which lasted around 20 minutes, he offered special prayers to the presiding deity and presented a silver sword as a mark of devotion.
Tight security arrangements were made in and around the temple town for the visit. Devotees gathered at the temple also greeted the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister on his arrival.
