Kolkata, June 17 -- The temporary Kolkata headquarters of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) at Metropolitan has begun to be vacated amid an intensifying dispute between the party and businessman Manotosh Saha, popularly known as Montu Saha - once considered a close associate of former chief minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee.
The development marks a significant shift in relations between Trinamool Congress and Saha, who had for years played a key logistical role in the party's political activities.
According to sources, Saha had served a two-month notice in May asking the party to vacate the building adjacent to Metropolitan Durga Bari, which belongs to him.
