Kolkata, May 15 -- The All India Trinamool Congress on Friday launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led governments at the Centre and in West Bengal over the hike in petrol and diesel prices, alleging that people of the state had been "misled" ahead of the Assembly elections.
The criticism came after fuel prices were increased by Rs 3 per litre across the country from Friday. In Kolkata, petrol prices rose to Rs 108.74 per litre, while diesel touched Rs 95.13 per litre. In New Delhi, petrol prices increased from Rs 94.77 to Rs 97.77 per litre and diesel from Rs 87.67 to Rs 90.67 per litre.
