Kolkata, April 28 -- The Trinamool Congress's (TMC) member of parliament from Krishnanagar, Mahua Moitra, on Tuesday shared videos on her X (formerly Twitter) handle allegedly showing a senior police observer, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has posted in South 24 Parganas, at a musical dance soiree.
Posting on X (formerly Twitter), Moitra took a swipe at the IPS officer.
In her first post, she sarcastically said it was "good" that he was enjoying.
The video has not been verified by UNI for its authenticity.
The remarks come amid heightened political tension in the region during the ongoing election process. The IPS officer is known within police circles for his strict, no-nonsense approach to law enforcement.
