Krishnagar, Sept. 19 -- Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee on Saturday launched a sharp attack on the West Bengal government, alleging that the police were being used to intimidate party workers and candidates amid mounting political tension over the upcoming bypolls.
Speaking to reporters at Thakurbari in Santipur, Nadia, Banerjee alleged that police were threatening party workers in different parts of the state, including Rejinagar, and claimed that the government was using cases and arrests to suppress its political opponents.
