Kolkata, July 29 -- Trinamool Congress (TMC) rebel MLA Madan Mitra appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at the CGO Complex in Salt Lake on Wednesday in connection with the agency's investigation into alleged irregularities in municipal recruitment.
The Kamarhati MLA reached the ED office around noon, a week after the central agency questioned his wife, Archana Mitra, and their two sons, Shubharup and Swarup, on separate days as part of the same investigation.
Before entering the ED office, Mitra maintained that he had no involvement in any corruption.
"I am not involved in any corruption. The ED has summoned me, and I will answer all their questions," he told reporters.
