Kolkata, June 10 -- The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has moved the Calcutta High Court challenging the legality of the CID's raid on the party office adjacent to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's Kalighat residence as part of its investigation into the alleged signature forgery case.

The matter is likely to come up for hearing before Justice Sougata Bhattacharya later this week.

Simultaneously, TMC National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Wednesday sought an expedited hearing of his petition seeking protection from coercive action in the same case.

Senior advocate and TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee mentioned the matter before Justice Kaushik Chanda, who said the case would be heard on Thursday.
