Kolkata, May 26 -- Senior Trinamool Congress MP Saugata Roy on Tuesday described the Kolkata Police visit to the residence of TMC National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee as an act of "political vendetta", alleging that the Bharatiya Janata Party was systematically targeting leaders of the ruling party across West Bengal.
Reacting strongly to the police action, Roy claimed that repeated raids and investigation involving TMC leaders were politically motivated and lacked any substantive evidence. "This is part of a political vendetta. Raids are being conducted at the homes of TMC leaders across various parts of Bengal. It is not even known what the specific allegations against Abhishek Banerjee are," Roy said while speaking to reporters....
