Tirupati, Feb. 22 -- The Maha Samprokshana ritual was performed to the Rajagopuram and also to the ancient temple of the Vedanarayana Swamy at Nagalapuram, near here, today.
Due to its proximity to Uttukottai of Tamil Nadu, the temple also draws large number of devotees from the neighbouring state also.
As such devotees for this sacred ritual attended from Tamil Nadu also and received the blessings of the unique Matsyarupa (Fish incarnation among Dasavatara of Deity) of the presiding deity .
On this auspicious occasion, the Vimana Samprokshana was performed with religious grandeur between 11 am and 12 noon to the shrines of Vedanarayana, Vedavalli, Kodandarama, Bhaktanjaneya and Hayagreeva by 62 Rutviks amidst chanting of Veda Mantras.
