Chennai, Oct. 20 -- Tens and hundreds of tinytots were initiated into the world of letters on the occasion of Vijayadasami, marking the culmination of 10-day Navaratri festivities in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday.
Parents carrying their children aged between 2-4 thronged various temples across the state to offer special pujas on the occasion.
Milling crowds were seen in several temples, including at the famous Koothanur Maha Saraswathi (Hindu Goddess of knowledge) temple in Tiruvarur district--Tamil Nadu's only Hindu temple with Saraswathi as main deity--and at several Vishnu, Lord Muruga, Ganesha, Swami Ayyappa and other temples across the state.
