New Delhi, March 21 -- Delhi's Uttam Nagar, where a localised clash claimed a man's life and sparked communal tensions, is observing Eid-ul-Fitr in a subdued manner under heavy security deployment on Saturday.
An official said that Hastsal village and the surrounding areas have witnessed heavy deployment of Delhi Police and paramilitary forces, with entry and exit points barricaded and strict ID checks enforced.
Access to specific areas is restricted to residents following verification, with outsiders not permitted. Authorities are also undertaking routine foot patrols and closely monitoring rooftops, narrow lanes, and sensitive locations through CCTV surveillance.
