New Delhi, July 11 -- The Indian Army today commemorated two of the most decisive battlefield triumphs of the Kargil War, recalling the capture of the Tiger Hill Complex and Khalubar Ridge during Operation Vijay in 1999, which turned the tide of the conflict in India's favour.
The Fire and Fury Corps, in a post on social media platform X, highlighted the heroic actions of Indian troops who, on July 11, 1999, completed the capture of the entire Tiger Hill Complex after days of intense fighting and repeated enemy counterattacks.
The final phase of the operation saw Indian forces secure key objectives including Rhino Horn, Rocky Knob and Shivling, bringing the entire complex under Indian control.
