New Delhi, June 8 -- India captain Shubman Gill expressed satisfaction after his side completed a dominant innings-and-300-run victory over Afghanistan in New Chandigarh, saying the team had "ticked all the boxes" in a near-perfect performance.
Gill revealed that India were prepared to continue batting had Afghanistan managed to extend their first innings beyond the morning session on Day 3. However, quick wickets allowed the hosts to enforce the follow-on and wrap up the match inside three days.
