Ashok RainaDharamshala, March 24 -- The 11th session of the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile commenced with the adoption of key resolutions expressing solidarity with Tibetans inside Tibet and raising concerns over recent Chinese policies.

A five-point solidarity resolution, moved by MP Tsering Yangchen and seconded by Geshe Ngawa Gangri, lauded the courage and sacrifices of Tibetans and called for protection of fundamental human rights, release of political prisoners including the 11th Panchen Lama, and an end to repression.

It also advocated declaring Tibet a "zone of peace" and supported the Middle Way Policy for resolving the Sino-Tibet issue through dialogue.

Another resolution expressed concern over China's new "Law on Promoting Et...
