Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Likely in 13 Districts Amid Rising Heat in Maharashtra
Pune, Apr 20 ( UNI): Even as temperatures have crossed the 40degC mark in most districts across the state, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rainfall in 13 districts over the next three days.A low-pressure trough extending from northern Karnataka to the Gulf of Mannar remains active in a north-south direction. Additionally, cyclonic wind patterns between Maharashtra and Karnataka, along with intensified westerly winds, have created favorable conditions for rainfall across large parts of the state.According to the forecast, parts of Vidarbha and Marathwada are likely to experience hailstorms and gusty winds along with rain.
