Dimapur, May 24 -- The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) warned of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, gusty winds, and heavy rainfall in several districts of the state till May 25.

In its weather update, the NSDMA said districts, including Peren, Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha, and Mokokchung, are likely to experience heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour.

Mon, Longleng, Tuensang and Zunheboto districts are also expected to witness thunderstorms with lightning during the period.
