Aizawl, Sept. 20 -- Three workers were killed, and three others suffered minor injuries after they were electrocuted while working on a four-lane highway project at Sethawn village in Kolasib district of Mizoram on Saturday.
According to the Kolasib district police, the accident occurred around 1 pm near the RTP farm along the Assam-Mizoram highway when the workers were shifting an electric pole at the construction site.
The six workers were engaged by a sub-contractor, C Vanlalhriat of Chawlhmun in Aizawl, for work being carried out under the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL).
