Hyderabad, June 12 -- Three scholars and alumni of the Department of Dance, Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Communication, University of Hyderabad (UoH), have been conferred the prestigious Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for 2024-25 by the Sangeet Natak Akademi.
The awardees are Ajay Srinivas Chakravarthy, an MPA graduate and current research scholar; Satwika Penna, a classical dancer and research scholar; and Akash Mallick, a performing artist from the 2013 MPA batch.
The Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar is one of the country's highest honours for young practitioners, performers and researchers in the performing arts.
