Ayodhya, Oct. 23 -- Preparations have intensified to make the festival of lights 2026 a grand and historic event in the city of Ayodhya. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the target is to light over three million lamps this year.
To ensure the success of the event, over 35,000 volunteers from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University will participate in the Deepotsav, from November 5 to 7.
In this sequence, University Vice Chancellor Dr. Bijendra Singh, as the chief host, performed the ritualistic worship of Mother Saryu and Lord Shri Ram at Ram Ki Paidi and prayed for the smooth conduct of Deepotsav here on Friday.
