Shimla, June 12 -- : Three persons, including a woman, were arrested with 25.65 grams of heroin during a naka checking operation near Chakki Bridge at Kandwal in Kangra district.
Nurpur Police District Superintendent of Police (SP) Kulbhushan Verma said on Friday that a CIA team of Nurpur Police intercepted and searched the suspects during routine checking and recovered 25.65 grams of heroin, commonly known as "chitta", from their possession.
The accused were identified as Arjinder Kumar (42), Ajay Kumar Anand (28) and Arvinder Kaur (21), all residents of Punjab.
A case has been registered against the trio under relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Nurpur Police Station, he said.
