Krishnagar, Aug. 16 -- Within hours of the double murder of former Congress Nakashipara block president Anisur Rahman and his son Abu Sufiyan, Krishnagar District Police arrested three persons, including Harnagar panchayat pradhan Fatema Bibi, in connection with the alleged killings.
The other two arrested were identified as Saheb Sheikh and Mithu Sheikh.
Superintendent of Police, Krishnagar District Police, V. Atul, confirmed the arrests. The three accused were produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate's court in Krishnagar today. After hearing the pleas, the magistrate remanded all three to police custody for nine days.
